Off Grid Solar Systems

Not stake lights. These are proper systems — a sizeable panel, a lithium battery and a charge controller — for gardens, paddocks, allotments and outbuildings with no mains supply within reach.

They are the honest answer when the alternative is trenching eighty metres of cable to a shed. Panels come pole mounted for siting in the open where the sun is, or roof mounted for an outbuilding, and the panel does not have to be where the light is.

The Winter Capable system is the one to look at if you need something in December: a larger panel and a larger battery, sized so that even midwinter charging keeps useful hours in it. Everything else here is still subject to the seasonal reality on 12V or Solar? — but with this much panel and battery, the gap between summer and winter is a great deal smaller than it is on a stake light.
