Underwater Lighting

Kits for still ponds, waterfalls, wildlife ponds, swimming ponds, fountains and rills — each in 2700K warm white, 2200K amber, and colour changing.

Which output to choose is a real decision, not a preference. Warm white is the most dramatic and the best on moving water and formal features. Amber at 2200K is markedly less disturbing to amphibians and aquatic insects, and is what we would put in a natural or wildlife pond even though it photographs less well. Colour changing is for entertaining, and looks its best used sparingly.

All IP68, with the depth rating stated. Joints that sit permanently submerged should be resin-filled, not gel-filled. Light a waterfall from below and behind it, never from the front.

The 12V side is safe; the supply feeding it is a special location under BS 7671 and needs an electrician.
