Deepwell Aqua Swimming Pond and Pool Underwater Lighting Kit 2200K Amber
Higher output fittings on a chlorine and salt resistant body, wired to a separate isolating transformer as the regulations for a pool require. Amber, which suits planting and is much kinder to wildlife.
Everything here is IP68 and rated for permanent immersion, which is a different thing from IP67 and a very different thing from weatherproof. Bodies are cast 316 stainless because brass corrodes in still water and aluminium is worse. Cable is a continuous moulded run with no joint below the waterline, and the joint above it goes in a resin filled connector that is supplied in the box. The transformer stays out of the water and out of the splash zone, which the drawing shows you how to arrange.

Installation
This runs on 12V, which is the reason to choose a low voltage garden system in the first place. The cable can be laid in a shallow trench or clipped along a fence without armoured conduit, it can be cut and joined with waterproof connectors outdoors, and a spade through it is an inconvenience rather than an emergency. The transformer itself is the only part that touches mains, so that is the only part an electrician needs to look at. Bury cable at least 100mm deep, run it along a line you will remember, and leave a loop of slack at every fitting so you can move things next year when the planting has grown.
When to buy
This is a spring and summer product and it sells out. March to August is our season and the popular finishes go first, usually in the fortnight after the clocks change. If you are planning for a particular weekend, order early.
