Three practical things. Book early: lead times tighten from April and wedding season goes first. Buy more spare lamps than you think, because a dead lamp on the day is the only fault anybody notices. And rig it a day early and switch it on after dark — the one thing that reliably goes wrong is discovering at seven o'clock that the run is longer than the cable.
