Step and Wall Lights

Fittings that become part of the structure rather than standing in front of it.

Recessed step lights are set into the riser and disappear — the right answer if the steps are being built or rebuilt. Surface-mounted versions do the same job screwed to the face, which is what you want on existing stone or brick you would rather not cut into.

Brick-sized wall fittings sit in place of a brick and mark a wall; wall washers mounted close and aimed along the surface light it. They are different jobs and people order the wrong one surprisingly often — if you want the wall to glow, you want a washer.

Solar versions throughout for anywhere a cable can't reach, with the usual honest caveat about winter output.
